As a result of continuous national growth, Lai Switchboard Australia are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technicians to join one of our electrical departments within our manufacturing plant in Hemmant, Queensland. We would like someone who is excited about the opportunity to build a stable, rewarding, and lucrative career with us.

Schedule:

Full-time position.

38-hour week, Monday – Friday + reasonable overtime.

Waged position

The Position:

We are currently seeking Electrical Engineering Technicians. You will have the opportunity to work on different projects ranging from a variety of different switchboards and switchrooms to meet customer requirements. You will work on a project from the very start of it being manufactured, to the project being delivered to our respected customer.

Key Competencies and Skills:

Understanding of power/control circuits and be able to follow wiring diagrams/schematics.

Estimating material costs and quantities

Inspecting designs and finished products for a high-quality standard

Holds an Electrical Class A licence

Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout of system components, frameworks and foundations.

The ability to use hand tools

Excellent attention to detail.

Maintain a quality standard of work and strive for continuous improvement.

Ability to work in a team environment and on your own if required.

Punctual.

Reliable.

Enthusiastic.

Innovative.

Desirable Competencies:

Experience mounting electrical equipment, mechanical support / protection.

Trade qualification “A Class licence”

Experience in the electrical switchboard industries.

Experience wiring main switchboards, motor control centres, PLC / RIO panels and distribution boards.

Experience with busbar fabrication

Testing

Previous experience in wiring LV switchboards

Driver’s License

Forklift License
