Maintenance Fitter | Beverage Manufacturing | Welshpool
$50–$55 per hour + Penalties | Day shift to start

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a beverage manufacturing site based in Welshpool.

This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys hands-on maintenance work in a fast-paced production environment, with strong hourly rates, overtime opportunities and the potential to progress into shift coverage once trained and competent.

About the Role

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot beverage manufacturing equipment across blending, filling, labelling, packing and robot palletising lines
• Carry out maintenance on utilities and services equipment including water treatment plant, effluent plant, boilers, steam equipment and high- and low-pressure compressors
• Support preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement activities across the site
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
• Complete work in line with site safety, quality and operational procedures

• $50.00–$55.00 per hour plus penalties
• Day work to start, with core hours of 6:00am–3:00pm Monday to Friday
• Overtime available, including Saturday work
• Potential to move into 12-hour day/night shift work on a 24x6 roster once trained and competent to cover breakdown fitter duties

About You

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or similar industrial environments
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Ability to work safely, communicate clearly and support a team-based maintenance environment
• Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a busy production setting
