Worldwide Printing Solutions Botany is a commercial printing business providing digital printing, Diecutting, binding, finishing and distribution services to a broad range of clients. We are seeking an experienced Print Finisher to join our team in a full-time, ongoing position at our Banksmeadow premises.

Key responsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for:

setting up and operating commercial binding and print-finishing machinery;

operating guillotines, perfect-binding machines and saddle-stitching equipment;

operating scoring, creasing, folding and perforating machinery;

operating die-cutting and laminating equipment;

binding books, booklets and other printed publications;

folding, collating, cutting and trimming printed materials;

inserting printed materials into booklets, folders and envelopes;

applying finishing processes, including lamination, scoring and creasing;

inspecting completed work and undertaking quality-control checks;

identifying and addressing minor machinery or production issues;

coordinating the packing and dispatch of completed jobs;

monitoring stocks of paper, toner and other printing consumables; and

maintaining a clean and safe production environment.

Experience operating digital printing equipment, FIERY RIP software with Konica Minolta Accurio Press machinery along with HP Latex with SAI Rip and solid Computer literacy would be advantageous. Skills and experience Applicants should have:

a relevant Certificate III, Certificate IV or equivalent trade qualification in print binding, finishing or packaging; or at least three years of relevant commercial print-finishing experience;

demonstrated experience operating commercial print-finishing machinery;

experience with guillotining, binding, folding, collating, laminating and booklet production;

a strong understanding of print-production and quality-control processes;

good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail;

the ability to manage competing deadlines and work accurately in a production environment; and

good communication and organisational skills.
