Location: Perth CBD
Employment Type: 6 months casual contract with likelihood of extension
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Feasibility Design to act as Study Manager for the contractor‑led 30% feasibility design package. This role will ensure the consultant delivers an integrated, reviewable and decision‑ready reference design that incorporates all required technical, stakeholder and early‑phase inputs.
Working closely with contractor design teams, Engineering Assurance, Interface Management, System Delivery Leads and Project Services, you will play a pivotal role in managing design maturity, review cycles, and the consolidation of multidisciplinary inputs into a coherent feasibility‑level reference design.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Study Manager for the contractor’s 30% feasibility design, ensuring delivery of an integrated and decision‑ready reference design.
Manage contractor scope, deliverables, schedule, budget and consultant performance, maintaining clear accountability and progress visibility.
Coordinate review cycles, consolidating comments through the Engineering Manager and ensuring timely close‑out.
Ensure agreed ECI, vendor, client and stakeholder inputs are incorporated into the feasibility reference design.
Manage design maturity, deliverable acceptance and close‑out of review comments, ensuring alignment with project objectives and FEED transition requirements.
Collaborate across key interfaces, including Lead Project Engineer, contractor Project & Design Managers, Engineering Assurance, Interface Manager, System Delivery Leads and Project Services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary consultant‑led feasibility or FEED studies.
Proven capability overseeing contractor design teams, deliverables, schedules and budgets.
Strong understanding of feasibility‑level design development, maturity progression and review governance.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical inputs and consolidate stakeholder feedback.
Experience integrating ECI, vendor and client inputs into feasibility or early‑phase design packages.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across technical and non‑technical teams.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
Highly Regarded
Experience within one or more of the following sectors:
Data Centres
Mission Critical Infrastructure
Industrial Infrastructure
Major Capital Projects
Experience delivering or supporting:
Multidisciplinary feasibility or concept studies
Consultant‑led design packages
FEED development and reference design integration
Interface management across engineering and delivery teams
