The Care Collective is seeking a fun, nurturing and emotionally aware Ongoing Nanny / Personal Assistant for a family based in Southport.
This role will support two girls aged 14 and 10, with a strong focus on trust, connection, routine and emotional reassurance. The family is looking for someone kind, patient and consistent, who can build a genuine relationship with the girls and support them through their daily routines in a calm, structured and flexible way.
This position would suit someone who is caring, practical, reliable and confident supporting pre teen and teenage children. The right person will understand the importance of emotional connection, routine, clear communication and creating a safe, supportive presence within the home.
Driving is a significant part of this role, as the family is based in Southport and the girls attend school in Burleigh. A confident and reliable driver is essential.
Location: Southport, QLD
Start Date: Around 20 July 2026, after the school holidays
Children: Two daughters, aged 14 and 10
Schedule
Week 1:
Monday - Thursday
Morning Support: 7:00am – 9:00am
Afternoon Support: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Week 2:
Tuesday - Friday
Morning Support: 7:00am – 9:00am
Afternoon Support: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Total: 20 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Morning routine support, including breakfast and helping the girls get ready for school
Ensuring the girls have what they need for the school day
Driving the girls from Southport to school in Burleigh
School collection in the afternoons
Homework support and gentle routine guidance
Click and collect where required
Dinner preparation and mealtime support
Supporting the evening routine
Swimming support on Wednesdays
Light household duties and household reset tasks
Changing sheets and tidying bedrooms
Vacuuming and general tidying
Light household organisation
Helping keep the home running smoothly
Providing a calm, reassuring and consistent presence for the girls
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
Kind, nurturing and empathetic
Patient, comforting and emotionally aware
Confident supporting pre teen and teenage children
Able to provide structure and consistency without being overly rigid
A confident and reliable driver with a safe vehicle
Comfortable driving between Southport and Burleigh
Practical, organised and proactive around the home
Creative minded and able to connect with older children
Comfortable around pets
Reliable, professional and committed to ongoing work
Confident supporting routines, transitions and emotional regulation
Sensitive and respectful around dietary and mealtime needs
Additional Information:
The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent presence within the home. Connection, patience and emotional reassurance are key parts of this role.
There are also important dietary and mealtime considerations within the family. One child requires meals to be provided at certain times, with portions served and monitored. The other child has coeliac disease and is adjusting to this diet. The successful candidate will need to approach mealtimes with sensitivity, patience, consistency and care.
