We’re looking for an experienced Bus / Grounds Utility to join our team at the Golden Grove site, working with our client 29Metals on a FIFO 2:1 roster from Perth.
This is a utility-focused role with limited bus driving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to get stuck into hands-on work around camp. You’ll spend the majority of your time supporting the site through grounds and general utility duties, with approximately 1–2 hours of bus driving each day.
The Role
As a Bus / Grounds Utility, you’ll play an important role in keeping the camp operating safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
General grounds maintenance and upkeep around the camp
Mowing, whipper snipping, gardening and weed control
Rubbish collection and general outdoor maintenance
Pressure washing and other camp upkeep duties
Airport baggage handling and passenger check-in
Airport transfers and short site transfers
Driving site buses between the camp, airport and other site locations
Supporting the wider camp team with general utility duties as required
Maintaining high standards of safety, presentation and customer service
The site is compact, meaning bus driving is limited to approximately 1–2 hours per day. The remainder of your shift will be focused on grounds and general utility duties.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous FIFO experience (Essential)
Previous experience driving buses on a mine/FIFO site (Essential)
A current Passenger Transport Driver (PTD) authorisation (Essential)
A current HR-C licence (Strongly preferred)
Experience in grounds maintenance, utilities or similar hands-on work
The physical fitness required for baggage handling and manual duties
Strong spoken English and confident communication skills, particularly when checking passengers in and assisting with airport transfers
A strong commitment to safety and following site procedures
A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach
