We are looking for a qualified and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our family business. In this role you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and routine repairs to a range of vehicles. If you’re a hands‑on problem‑solver who enjoys variety in their job, can work independently as well as being part of a supportive team, this is the perfect next step in your mechanical career.

Your responsibilities would include:

Conducting thorough and accurate inspections on new and used vehicles

Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults and issues with electrical and mechanical systems

Performing routine servicing and scheduled maintenance to industry standards

Carrying out preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety

Completing on‑road testing and quality assurance checks on all work done

Complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and professional workplace

To be successful in the role you will need the following:

A formal qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical repair or a related automotive trade

Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

A valid Australian Driver’s Licence

Ability to drive manual vehicles and light commercials is preferred

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills

Broad knowledge of a wide range of makes and models, including European vehicles

Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude

Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities

A strong customer service mindset and professional presentation

Commitment to safety, quality standards, and compliance

Ability to work efficiently and independently

Your own set of tools (recommended)

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.

Applicants must be an Australian resident. Those currently working as a 3 or 4th year apprentice may be considered for the role.
