Forum Recruitment is proud to partner with a highly regarded property organisation to recruit a Retail Administration Assistant for a busy retail shopping centre in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property administrator or retail administration professional looking to take ownership of a diverse role within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
About the role
Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and operational support of a retail shopping centre. As the central point of contact for tenants, contractors and stakeholders, you'll ensure smooth centre operations while managing financial administration, lease documentation, reporting and compliance activities.
This role is part time, working 20 hours/3 days per week.
This is a hands-on role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to gain exposure across all aspects of shopping centre management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, tenant invoicing and arrears administration.
- Maintaining lease records, rental schedules, compliance documentation and centre databases.
- Preparing monthly reports, reconciliations and supporting budgeting activities.
- Building strong relationships with retailers, contractors and service providers while responding to enquiries and resolving issues.
- Supporting centre operations, contractor coordination, leasing administration and customer experience initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this role it is essential to have:
- Experience in retail property, commercial property or shopping centre administration.
- Strong financial administration skills, including accounts processing, invoicing and reporting.
- Experience managing lease documentation, tenant records and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and ability to work autonomously.
