DSP Mechanical is currently seeking a Site Based HD FItter /Diesel Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic. In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile plant and earthmoving equipment on site — keeping operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and service a range of heavy mining machinery

Perform scheduled maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines

Maintain spare parts oils & filter stock levels onsite

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate timely repairs

Maintain accurate service records and reports

Uphold the highest standards of safety and workmanship

What We’re Looking For:

Relevant trade qualifications in Heavy Diesel / Mobile plant Mechanics (to Australian standards)

Proven experience in mining or a similar heavy industry environment

Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills

Proficiency with tools, diagnostics, and maintenance technologies

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to safety and compliance standards

Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening, police clearance, and pre-employment medical

Current valid Manual driver’s licence
