Hours: Full-time Ongoing
Annual Full-Time Equivalent Salary: $156,540 + super + salary packaging

Are you passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes in our communities? We’re seeking a Senior Manager Mental Health and Wellbeing Services to lead the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention strategic activities across the Hunter New England and Central Coast region.

About the Role
As Senior Manager, Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, you will:
Lead strategic initiatives in Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AoD), and Suicide Prevention across the Hunter New England and Central Coast regions.
Manage a dedicated team delivering services aligned with Department of Health funding agreements, the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Joint Regional Plan, the HNECC Safe and Healthy framework and other strategic intentions.
Drive co-design, development, and implementation of activities under Commonwealth and State funding deeds.
Foster strong partnerships with HNELHD, CCLHD, NSW/ACT PHN Mental Health Network, and other key stakeholders.
Represent the PHN in strategic forums to improve outcomes for people facing mental health, AoD, and suicide prevention challenges.
Champion the PHN’s values of Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Integrity, Cooperation, and Recognition.
What you will bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in a Mental Health related field and extensive relevant experience in a Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
Demonstrated experience in the leadership of a team with a focus on strategic leadership.
An understanding of the current Mental Health and Suicide Prevention System, Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service including services delivered by the non-government, Aboriginal Community-Controlled Sectors, primary and tertiary health services.
Demonstrated experience in managing professional stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, consensus-building, data analysis and consultation skills.
