Health and Safety Advisor – Civil Infrastructure

We are hiring a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join a civil contractors growing team in Sydney. This is a full-time role working in major civil infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on career progression.

Role Overview

Salary: $120k - $150K + Super DOE

Location: Sydney, NSW

Work Type: Full-time, permanent

Civil contractor with an ongoing pipeline of civil infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities

Manage and implement all Health and Safety requirements and documentation across multiple project sites

Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety audits

Lead risk assessments and incident investigations

Work closely with project and site teams to promote a strong safety culture

Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations, and procedures

Report on HSE performance and recommend improvements

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in HSE roles within civil infrastructure

Strong background in civil engineering projects

Solid understanding of WHS legislation and site-based safety management

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher)

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Confined spaces experience is beneficial for the role

Driving licence
