About the Position:

The position of a Paralegal / Human Resource Assistant requires an individual who is able to multitask and possesses good decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and payroll and benefits administration. Top candidates will be superb at problem-solving, efficient in scheduling and precise in the recruitment and legal process.

Paralegal Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparing legal HR documents and contracts.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in complex legal document drafting and preparation of sophisticated HR contracts and agreements.

Reviewing, tracking, and monitoring legislation that impacts the company's products and processes.

Assisting with legal litigation/disputes about commercial contracts, employment, or product-related disputes.

Conducting legal research, fact gathering, and information retrieval.

Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.

Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.

Gathering and analyzing statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, documents, and other data.

Paralegal experience or qualification is required from commencement, with no training to be provided for foundational paralegal skills.

Human Resources Duties & Responsibilities:

Supporting all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.

Maintaining digital and electronic records of employees.

Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators.

Assisting with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.

Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.

Scheduling meetings, interviews, HR events, and maintaining agendas.

Coordinating training sessions and seminars.

Performing orientations and updating records of new staff.

Developing and implementing the employee onboarding process to help new hires integrate smoothly into the company.

Completing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

Managing employee conflict resolution and promoting a positive workplace culture.

Employee Onboarding Process:

Pre-boarding:

Sending a welcome email with essential information about the company and the first day.

Preparing necessary paperwork and documentation.

Setting up workstations, email accounts, and access to necessary tools and systems.

Day One:

Greeting the new hire and providing a tour of the office and facilities.

Introducing the new hire to team members and key personnel.

Providing an overview of the company's mission, values, and culture.

Reviewing the new hire's job responsibilities and expectations.

First Week:

Assigning a mentor or buddy to assist the new hire.

Conducting orientation sessions on company policies, procedures, and benefits.

Organizing training sessions specific to the new hire's role.

Scheduling regular check-ins to address any questions or concerns.

First Month:

Monitoring the new hire's progress and providing feedback.

Ensuring the new hire is comfortable and has all the necessary resources.

Encouraging open communication and fostering relationships with colleagues.

First Three Months:

Conducting performance reviews and setting goals.

Offering additional training and development opportunities.

Gathering feedback from the new hire to improve the onboarding process.

Eligibility & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (required).
