Job Title: Handyman – Large Public School (Sydney)

Hourly Rate: $40–$50 AUD (based on experience)

Our client is a large, well-established public school located in Sydney, serving a diverse student population across a multi-building campus. They are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to assist with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of school facilities.

This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in general maintenance and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school environment remains safe, functional, and welcoming for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs and maintenance across school buildings and outdoor areas
  
  
• Address plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical issues
  
  
• Conduct routine safety inspections and respond promptly to maintenance requests
  
  
• Assist with event setup, furniture assembly, and minor landscaping tasks
  
  
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
  
  
• Liaise with school staff and external contractors as required
  
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in handyman or general maintenance roles
  
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  
  
• Valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  
  
• Relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not essential)
