Factual investigation opportunity

Overview

We seek Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle-based factual investigators to undertake enquiries and assessments in the areas of workplace injuries claims. The key purpose of the role is in liaising with stakeholders, reconstruction of events, taking witness statements and preparation of reports.

Key requirements for the role include strong communication skills, teamwork, a positive attitude, good time management and exceptional customer service.

Role requirements

The ideal person will be self-motivated and able to quickly build rapport with stakeholders of all types.

Applicants should possess:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Skills to interview and type witness statements

Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

Good time management and organisational skills

Ability to follow specific instructions and guidelines

Strong Microsoft Word and IT skills

Ability to work independently

Laptop, vehicle and driver's licence

Investigator's licence (2E security) which requires a Certificate III in investigations.

Remuneration

Once a period of training, shadowing and peer support has been successfully completed and depending on prior experience, remuneration ranges from $45 to $60 per hour. A subcontract arrangement is preferred.

Experience

Maturity, empathy, tenacity and confidence in dealing with difficult people

5 to 10 years vocational experience

Experience in insurance is highly desirable.
