About the role

Optimum Care Group is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Ringwood, Victoria. This casual position will involve providing high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Engaging clients in recreational and social activities to promote their wellbeing and community participation

Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs are met in a person-centred manner

Maintaining detailed records and documentation to support the delivery of care

Collaborating with allied health professionals and the broader care team to coordinate holistic support

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Disability, Aged Care or Community Services

Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families

A genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities and a commitment to their wellbeing

Adaptability and problem-solving skills to handle the diverse needs of clients

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
