About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Pub Manager to join the team at the iconic Royal Hotel Kojonup, affectionately known as the Top Pub. The Royal Hotel is the first and last pub in the Great Southern, one of the most diverse food and wine regions in Western Australia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue located in the charming town of Kojonup, Great Southern, Western Australia.

What you'll be doing

Manage all aspects of the hotel's operations, including staff management, budgeting, inventory control, counter sales, and customer service

Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase customer satisfaction, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety

Ensure compliance with all relevant liquor licensing, occupational health and safety, and other regulatory requirements

Assist with the ongoing enhancements to the site and develop with the owners additional revenue streams

Foster a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork and exceptional customer experiences

Actively participate in the local community and represent the hotel at industry events

What we're looking for

Significant experience in a pub or hotel management role, ideally in a similar regional or rural setting

Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams

Excellent financial management and budgeting skills, with the ability to drive profitability and operational efficiency

Thorough understanding of the hospitality industry, including liquor licensing regulations, food safety, and occupational health and safety requirements

Exceptional customer service orientation, with the ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for patrons

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
