The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Work Health and Safety Administrator to join our Corporate Services team in the Northern Territory.

Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Coordinator, this role plays a key part in supporting the coordination, documentation, and reporting of workplace health and safety activities across the Y NT. The successful candidate will help maintain WHS systems and compliance processes, ensuring a safe and supportive workplace for all employees, volunteers, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating incident and hazard reporting, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up.
  • Maintain WHS registers, including incident, training, inspection, and risk registers.
  • Support workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments alongside managers or external providers.
  • Prepare and distribute WHS reports, statistics, and safety communications.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation and return-to-work documentation.
  • Coordinate WHS meetings, training sessions, and inductions.
  • Maintain WHS documentation, policies, and procedures, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support WHS compliance and reporting.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and support wellbeing initiatives across the organisation.

About You:

  • Certificate III or IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards).
  • 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative or WHS support role.
  • Knowledge of WHS principles and legislative requirements.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Willingness to travel to Y NT sites and facilities.
