About the business and the role

Sonas Early Learning & Care Spearwood is looking for passionate Early Childhood Teachers to create amazing childhood memories for our children at our beautifully appointed, purpose-built centre.

We are seeking Early Childhood Teachers (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification) to create, facilitate, and evaluate high-quality programmes and curricula for our Sonas children, both in groups and for individuals, as well as to lead teams to achieve this outcome. Additionally, you will deliver our new PATHFINDERS Pre-Kindy program, designed by experienced Early Childhood Teachers, to best prepare children for their journey into formal school settings.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As a Sonas Team Member, you will:

Align with our values and embrace our purpose;

Lead and work with your team to create innovative and exciting learning programs for children in family-grouping settings based on children's interests, strengths and abilities.

Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that inspire and motivate children to learn, imagine and create.

Build strong, professional and genuine relationships with children and their families to support family participation in our program and build trust between the service and our clients.

Lead and mentor less experienced and qualified colleagues and trainees.

Actively participate in team events to promote cohesiveness and a strong team culture;

Continue your learning journey through professional learning and training.

Commit to acting as the service's responsible person, and executing this role to a high standard, considering all legislative requirements.

Skills and experience

When you are a member of the Sonas team, you will need to:

Hold an Early Childhood Teaching Qualification (or equivalent)

Hold a current First Aid qualification, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis;

Create a curriculum that meets and exceeds the expectations of QA 1, the EYLF and the WA Kindy Curriculum

Able to facilitate a free-flow indoor/ outdoor program

Have a desire to continually improve your skills and knowledge to improve outcomes for children through regular professional development.

Have the desire to create special, happy childhood moments that live with children forever.
