We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Motor Mechanic (EV & HEV) to join our BYD Ringwood Service Team. If you're passionate about advanced vehicle technologies and want to grow your career in the EV/HEV space, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on BYD electric (EV) and hybrid (HEV) vehicles

Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve technical issues

Complete warranty repairs in accordance with BYD and OEM standards

Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines, especially for high-voltage systems

Work collaboratively with service advisors, technicians, and workshop staff

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

Support the training and mentoring of junior technicians

Contribute to continuous improvement in service quality and workflow efficiency

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Automotive Technician (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or higher)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in servicing EV and/or HEV vehicles

Experience with BYD is highly regarded

Understanding of high-voltage systems and EV safety protocols

High Voltage or EV Safety Certification is a bonus

Valid Australian driver’s licence

Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy workshop

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

High attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies in the EV space

Must have full working rights in Australia
