Mon–Fri | 8:30am–5:00pm | No weekends
Start: ASAP | End: 9 February 2026 ( 3-month contract)
Location: Broken Hill, NSW
Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Healthy Start team. This role supports Aboriginal Children and families in Broken Hill and offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference.
What You’ll Do
Provide culturally inclusive Child and Family centred care.
Working collaboratively with Healthy Start Aboriginal Health Workers and RNs to deliver the Healthy Start checks in Maari Ma’s Healthy Start Program.
Some of the functions include: Immunisations, POC testing for Blood lead levels, following up results recalls, supporting the child health clinic.
Providing administrative and clinical support to the GPs, C&FH RN and other practitioners such as the Paediatrician.
Mentoring Aboriginal Health Worker Trainees studying to become an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
Pay & Benefits: $78.86 per hour + super; flights, accommodation (may be shared with private bathroom), and a vehicle provided for the duration of the contract.
About You
You are an AHPRA Registered Nurse with immunisation provider authorisation, paediatric experience, and skills in venepuncture and ATSI health checks. You communicate respectfully across cultures, can use clinical systems (training provided if needed), and hold a current drivers licence for outreach travel.

Maari Ma Health is an Aboriginal community-controlled regional Health service that has been providing a quality service to the Aboriginal people of far western New South Wales for more than 30 years and employs over 140 people within the region.
