About the role

FTA Insurance is seeking an experienced Team Leader Business Support (Administration) to join our office in Sydney, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you leading a small team of administrative professionals in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to ensure the smooth running of our daily operations. You will also be carrying out the partial workload of a business support officer.

Australian work rights are essential for this position.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing and coordinating the work of your administrative team to maximise productivity and efficiency

Providing guidance, mentoring and training to team members to help them develop their skills and capabilities

Managing workflows, prioritising tasks and delegating work to ensure deadlines are met

Identifying process improvements and implementing changes to enhance our administrative functions

Serving as the key point of contact for administrative inquiries and escalating issues as needed

Liaising with the Underwriting teams and finance team to facilitate effective communication and collaboration

Generating reports and analysing data to provide insights and recommendations to management

You will also be carrying out 75% of the workload of a business support officer.

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience in a team leadership role within an office administration or business support function

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a solutions-focused mindset

Experence in general insurance or life insurance.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders

Proficiency in using office productivity software such as Microsoft Office. If you are proficient with WInbeat that would be an advantage.

Familiarity with administrative processes and procedures within a professional services environment
