About Us

At The Barna Co, we believe in creating a workplace where our team, participants and clients thrive. We deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychology across homes, schools, workplaces, and community settings in both the NDIS and private practice sectors.

Our values shape our culture:

Why / Continuous Improvement – Question, innovate, and always look for better ways of working.

Our Space – Build a collaborative, enjoyable, and supportive workplace.

Care – Go above and beyond for clients, each other, and the community.

Connected – Foster openness, honesty, and genuine relationships.

Humble – Approach work with respect, learning, and quiet confidence.

We also know balance matters. That's why full-time means a maximum of 35 hours a week. We want you to succeed at work and enjoy life outside it.

We’re committed to putting participants first, ensuring they receive the support they need when they need it. We even provide pro-bono support on a case-by-case basis.

The Role

We’re seeking a Psychologist / Disability Psychologist (NDIS) to join our multidisciplinary team and help shape meaningful outcomes for people with disability.

You’ll deliver psychological services to participants with psychosocial, developmental, or complex needs under the NDIS, supported by senior clinicians and a collaborative team. NDIS experience is highly regarded but not essential — full training and supervision are provided.

You’ll receive supervision from senior clinicians with deep NDIS experience and access to CPD in behaviour support, psychosocial disability, and cognitive assessment.

You’ll also have opportunities to lead innovation in NDIS service delivery — your ideas and input will shape how we grow.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning within your scope of practice.

Adapt therapy approaches for individuals with disability, communication challenges, or complex support needs.

Support individuals, couples, families, or groups facing personal, developmental, or social challenges using evidence-based interventions.

Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques/ modalities to promote positive growth, enhanced well-being, and mental health, helping individuals cope with life's challenges, improve their well-being, and achieve their full potential.

Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with external stakeholders as needed.

Uphold the ethical and professional standards set forth by the APS and AHPRA.
