Electrical Technician – Marine Experience

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrical Technician with proven experience in marine electrical systems. This role combines on-site supervision, hands-on technical support, and occasional FIFO project work, delivering electrical services to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands-on technical expertise, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning.

Ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Liaise with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Mentor and support apprentices and tradespeople.

Skills & Experience

Current A-Grade Electrical Licence (essential).

Demonstrated experience in marine electrical systems.

Minimum 1-2 years of marine electrical systems experience.

Strong diagnostic, commissioning, and fault-finding skills.

Willingness to undertake FIFO project work as required.

Sound knowledge of AS/NZS standards and marine compliance requirements.

Current driver's licence.

First Aid and CPR/LVR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 30 days.

Construction White Card (or ability to obtain).

Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.

Desirable Tickets/Training:

Demonstrated experience in diesel/gas generators.

Advanced Rigging

Confined Space

Working at Heights (WAH)

Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
