Overview

Build production-grade Python automation that converts aggregated NetFlow data into audited firewall rule deployments across Cisco ASA and ACI platforms for a tier-1 financial institution.

Work in a focused three-person mob programming team (Data Engineer, Python Developer, Network Engineer) automating firewall rule implementation across legacy and modern network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Build Python automation pipeline converting MS SQL NetFlow aggregates into Cisco firewall artifacts
• Develop idempotent REST workflows deploying ASA rules via CSM and ACI rules via APIC
• Implement audit lineage tracking and deployment verification tooling with rollback capability
• Collaborate with Network, Data and Systems teams in mob programming setup
• Run automated deployments under Tidal scheduler on Windows Server

Essential Requirements

Technical:

• Production Python 3.8+ (Pandas, SQLAlchemy/pyodbc, requests)
• Hands-on Cisco ACI/APIC programmability and ASA/CSM deployment formats
• MS SQL querying and data manipulation
• Windows Server automation with scheduled jobs (Tidal or similar)
• Proven experience building idempotent REST deployment workflows with rollback logic

Highly Regarded

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform or Cisco SDKs
