Join the leadership team at St Joseph’s Catholic School Mount Isa, as Assistant Principal – Religious Education (Primary), where your leadership, faith and vision will help shape a caring, inclusive and faith-filled learning community inspired by Gospel values.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Principal to lead and promote the Catholic identity and mission of the school. You will provide effective professional leadership by developing and nurturing the Catholic tradition and Religious Life of the School, while coordinating the planning, delivery and assessment of Religious Education across all year levels.
As a visible faith leader, you will inspire confidence, enthusiasm and optimism in others - fostering a culture where students are encouraged to live with curiosity, compassion and integrity. You’ll build an inclusive and trusting school community, cultivating productive and supportive working relationships with staff, families and parish partners. Drawing on your strong emotional intelligence and reflective practice, you’ll be an approachable and effective coach, providing clear guidance, constructive feedback and professional mentorship to help others grow.
The Assistant Principal – Religious Education (APRE) plays an integral role in supporting the Principal to manage the daily operations of the school in line with Catholic Education policies and frameworks. You’ll demonstrate a deep commitment to the Catholic faith, serving as both a spiritual and instructional leader who champions quality learning, wellbeing and faith formation.
