About the Opportunity
Mackay Regional Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our Roads & Drains team based at Sarina Depot. This is your chance to contribute to vital infrastructure projects while enjoying the benefits of a supportive and dynamic workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform labouring and plant operation duties for road and drainage maintenance and construction.
- Operate rigid motor vehicles (GVM up to 15 tonnes), small ride-on equipment, and light mechanical plant.
- Undertake tasks including earthworks, concrete, pipelaying, bitumen, and vegetation work.
- Maintain assigned plant and liaise with mechanical service personnel.
- Conduct traffic management at work sites.
- Use software devices to manage work orders.
- Deliver high-level client service to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- MR or HR license (preferred).
