The Role

Join ABC News in Adelaide as a Multi-Skilled Operator. You’ll be part of a dynamic team producing high-quality, engaging, and informative content for television, digital, video-on-demand, and social platforms. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced newsroom environment, offering the opportunity to contribute creatively to the visual storytelling that defines ABC News.

The Job

• Use accomplished video editing skills to support the production of impactful ABC News content.
• Collaborate with journalists, producers, and directors to deliver visually compelling news stories.
• Contribute to various aspects of news production, including camera work, photography, media ingesting, and graphic design.
• Create digital-first content optimised for web, social, and on-demand platforms.
• Work effectively within tight deadlines and rotating shifts across a seven-day roster.
• Communicate clearly and openly with the SA News leadership team, accepting and applying creative feedback.

About You

You’re a creative and technically skilled operator with a passion for news and visual storytelling.

You'll have:?

• Proven experience in high-quality video editing for news and current affairs.
• Skills in editing, camera operation and/or photography(desirable).
• Familiarity with digital and social video platforms and audience engagement strategies.
• **** Current and valid Driver’s Licence?is essential with a willingness and flexibility to travel to remote locations.??
