About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Procurement Manager to lead the delivery of Council's procurement and stores functions. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing sourcing, contract management, and supply strategies that deliver value for money, transparency, and compliance with legislative obligations.
Leading a team of procurement professionals, you'll champion a business partnering approach—working collaboratively across Council to provide expert advice, build capability, and drive process improvement and innovation. You'll balance strategic vision with operational excellence, managing procurement risks, fostering supplier relationships, and ensuring that Council's commercial outcomes align with its broader strategic objectives.
Success in this role will require extensive experience in government procurement and contract management, strong people leadership skills, and the ability to influence, innovate, and deliver sustainable outcomes for the Port Macquarie-Hastings community.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $129,671 to $145,142 depending on skills and experience
Opportunity for performance based increases available after 12 months
This role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle allowance
