+Job Title and Overview
The primary role of the Educator is to support, lead and collaboratively work with the coordinator, and to oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of the daily routines and programs ensuring that:
The safety, security and well-being of the children in our care are protected;
Appropriate service policies and procedures are in place and followed;
Services offered reflect the multi-cultural diversity and holistic ethos of the community;
Services create and deliver high quality and age-appropriate programming;
A child friendly, inviting and clean environment is maintained;
Children are provided with interactive and stimulating activities;
The interaction with children is continually positive, sensitive and respectful;
Effective communication is maintained with the coordinator and management.
+ Essential
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) Certificate
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid Certificate in Education and Care (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to work with individual children with additional needs
Ability to recognise the needs of children and skills to nurture and support children new to the service
+ Qualifications
To be considered as a Qualified Educator, you must hold one or more of the following:
Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or:
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
Valid Working with Children Check clearance
Successful completion of Responding to Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care training
+ Days/ Hours of Operation Monday to Friday
7:00am–9:00am Before School Care and
2:30pm–6:30pm-After School Care; and
7:30am–6:30pm Vacation Care& Student Free days.
