Noosa Council is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Civil Field Worker - Truck (Bridges) to join our dedicated Civil Operations team. In this hands-on, outdoor role, you’ll use your technical skills to help maintain and build the bridges and timber structures that support our community every day.

The Opportunity

You’ll perform specialised civil maintenance and construction work on bridges and timber structures, while driving and operating heavy rigid vehicles fitted with truck-mounted cranes. Every day brings variety, from bridge carpentry and structural repairs to lifting operations and on-site problem solving, all while working alongside a supportive and skilled team.

What You’ll Bring

Experience driving and operating rigid motor vehicles exceeding 20-tonne GVM.

Practical experience in civil maintenance, construction, or bridge carpentry.

Ability to work flexibly, solve problems on the go, and deliver quality workmanship.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with a commitment to safety and mentoring others.

Physical fitness and agility to perform manual tasks in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications and Licences:

Certificate III in Local Government (Operational Works) or Civil Construction (Bridge/Marine) or equivalent experience.

HR Class Driver’s Licence.

White Card (Construction Industry Safety).

Certificates of Competency in Dogging, Basic Scaffolding, and Truck-Mounted Crane operation (1 tonne at 10 meters).

Chainsaw Certificate.

Traffic Controller and First Aid Certificates (desirable).
