We're looking for a motivated, sales-focused Account Representative to join our growing team supplying sustainable bag solutions to Local Councils, including FOGO liners (Food Organics and Garden Organics) and pet waste bags for parks and open spaces.

In this phone-based, sales and service role, you'll be responsible for initiating and managing the early stages of the sales process with local councils and waste management organisations across Australia. You'll research, connect, qualify leads, and book meetings for the Senior Sales Executives — while providing top-tier service and co-ordinating internal support to ensure a seamless experience for every client.

What You'll Do

Lead Generation & Appointment Setting

Research and identify key decision-makers within councils and waste management organisations.

Build and maintain detailed contact databases and organisational charts.

Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to introduce our sustainable bag solutions.

Secure qualified appointments for the Senior Sales Executive.

Sales & Customer Support

Provide exceptional pre- and post-sales support to clients.

Manage enquiries and assist the Senior Sales Executive with admin and follow-up.

Maintain long-term client relationships, promoting retention and upsell opportunities.

Tender & Proposal Support

Assist in preparing tender responses and proposals for councils.

Gather and format technical and compliance information for submissions.

Ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and professionalism.

Stakeholder Enablement

Co-ordinate promotional and educational materials for councils (brochures, videos, FAQs, rollout kits).

Support council FOGO rollout planning and staff training logistics.

Internal Collaboration

Liaise with Sales, Operations, Technical and Marketing teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and project delivery.

Maintain accurate CRM data and contribute to sales reporting.

Your Typical Day Might Include

Making outbound and follow-up calls.

Researching councils and updating CRM contact records.

Scheduling qualified appointments for the sales team.

Preparing and reviewing tender documents.

Handling service enquiries and liaising with internal teams.

Co-ordinating materials for client presentations or council education sessions.

Booking travel, flights and accommodation for the team.

What We're Looking For

Essential

1+ years of experience in sales or sales support role.

Experience must include phone-based sales activities and client communication.

Excellent phone manner and communication skills.

Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Familiarity with any CRM system is acceptable as training will be provided on our specific platform.

Strong research and data management skills.

Team player with a proactive, positive attitude.

Resilient and determined — you thrive on creating win/win outcomes.

Desirable

Tertiary qualifications in any discipline.

An interest with FOGO programs and environmental policies in Australia.

Experience organising travel or diaries for managers or sales teams.
