We're Hiring: Service Advisor / Parts Interpreter

We’re HC AUTOS — a specialist Land Rover workshop run by two mates who actually live and breathe these cars. We're not a dealership, and we’re not in it for the sales game. We’re here to do the job properly — with transparency, skill, and a genuine care for our customers and their vehicles.

We’re looking for someone to join us as a Service Advisor / Parts Interpreter — someone who can be the bridge between our customers and our workshop.

A bit about us:

We’re small, independent, and proud of it. Our workshop is run by Hughie, a Land Rover Master Technician with over 15 years of Land Rover dealership experience (including managing Brisbane City Land Rover Workshop), and Callum, a mechatronic engineer with a background in control systems and diagnostics. We work hands-on in the business every day.

We specialise in Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles — but work on all vehicles. Everything is done properly, with dealer-level tools and processes, but without the inflated prices and upsells.

About the role:

This role is best suited to someone who:

Knows cars — ideally, you’ve been a mechanic or work on your own car at home.

Gets deep into the forums, catalogue hunting, VIN decoding, and hunting for those elusive parts.

Wants to be out of the workshop and into a more customer- and admin-facing role, but without leaving the car world behind.

Is a clear communicator and can manage expectations honestly and professionally.

Takes pride in getting it right the first time — no shortcuts, no fluff, no “she’ll be right.”

You’ll be working closely with both owners and technicians, handling day-to-day customer contact, parts sourcing, booking work, and contributing to a smooth flowing workshop. If you’ve had experience as a service advisor or in parts interpreting, that’s a bonus — but if you’ve got the right attitude and background, we’re happy to train you.

What we’re offering:

$75,000 per year (based on 38-hour week)

No weekends. Ever. Monday to Friday only.
