About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Bendigo. This casual position involves working closely with a young boy with Behaviours of Concern (BOC). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours, the ability to implement behaviour support strategies effectively, and a calm, confident approach to challenging situations.

It is also essential that you can fit in well with the existing dynamic of workers in the home to ensure a consistent and supportive environment for the participant.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to the participant in line with their NDIS goals and Behaviour Support Plan.

Assist with daily living tasks, community access, and skill development.

Implement positive behaviour support strategies and maintain professional boundaries at all times.

Monitor and document progress, incidents, and outcomes accurately.

Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and the You Matter D.S. team to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working with individuals displaying Behaviours of Concern (BOC).

Competence in following and implementing Behaviour Support Plans.

Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent qualification.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.

Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Availability for flexible, casual shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and school holidays as needed.
