Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS) is seeking passionate educators to join The Woods Early Education Centre (EEC). We have openings for:
- Lead Educator
- Apprentice
- Trainee
- Studying ECT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, up to 38 hours per week (flexible options available)
Location: Ashgrove
Compensation: Up to $50/hr + super + 10% retention (based on qualification and role)
Your Responsibilities:
As Lead Educator:
- Lead curriculum planning and program delivery for children aged 0–5 years
- Mentor and support Assistant Educators
- Foster inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environments
- Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and centre standards
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (minimum)
- Current Blue Card
- Leadership experience and strong curriculum knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
As Early Childhood Teacher:
- Lead your team in creating and delivering an educational Kindergarten program fostering children’s learning and development.
- Prioritize children’s health and safety.
- Engage in joyful, educational activities, inspiring a love for learning.
- Build strong relationships with families and fellow educators.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Sense of humour, strong work ethic, and reliability.
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or actively pursuing one.
- Current Qld Blue Card.
- Passion for promoting a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition for children.
As Trainee & Apprentice:
- Assist in the care and education of children
- Engage in fun, play-based learning activities
- Support children’s health, safety, and well-being
- Work collaboratively with educators and families
- Help with daily routines such as meals, tidying, and activities
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in high school
- Commitment to completing Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Current Queensland Blue Card (or willing to obtain)
- Positive, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication skills and reliability
