Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS) is seeking passionate educators to join Hills Early Education Centre (EEC) in Jimboomba in 2026. We have openings for:

  • Assistant Educator
  • Lead Educator
  • Inclusion Support Educator

Schedule: Monday – Friday, up to 38 hours per week (flexible options available) Location: Jimboomba Compensation: Up to $39/hr + super + 10% retention (based on qualification and role)

Assistant Educator Provide high-quality care and education for children while supporting the room leader and contributing to a collaborative, engaging environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily routines and program implementation for children aged 0–5 years
  • Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
  • Help maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Work under the guidance of Lead Educators

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (minimum)
  • Current Blue Card
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Passion for outdoor, nature-based education

Additional Notes:

  • For the Kindergarten Studio role in 2026: 5 days per week, flexible hours, minimum 5 hours per day

Lead Educator Lead Educators are responsible for guiding a room with creativity and confidence, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality educational programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead curriculum planning and program delivery for children aged 0–5 years
  • Mentor and support Assistant Educators
  • Foster inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environments
  • Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and centre standards

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education (minimum)
  • Current Blue Card
  • Leadership experience and strong curriculum knowledge
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Inclusion Support Educator Provide tailored support for children with additional needs, ensuring they are included in all learning experiences and supported to reach their potential.
Responsibilities:

  • Support individual children with additional needs in collaboration with educators and families
  • Implement tailored learning strategies and inclusive practices
  • Monitor and document children’s progress and development
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience supporting children with diverse needs (preferred)
  • Current Blue Card
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
