About us:

Just Skirting started back in 2019 with a DIY table, a 2000w router, and a big vision: to raise the standard of skirting board installation in Perth. We were tired of sloppy cuts, late tradies, and poor customer service—so we built something better.

Now working out of a 500m² workshop, we’ve grown into one of Perth’s go-to names for premium skirting board supply and install. We’re passionate about quality, reliable service, and building a team of professionals who take pride in their work and get the job done right.

About you:

You're a skilled second fix carpenter who loves a tidy mitre and sharp scribe. You work clean, communicate well, and treat every job like it’s in your own home. Whether you’re fitting skirting boards in a fresh new build or upgrading a client’s living space, you show up on time, work efficiently, and don’t pack up until every detail’s spot on.

To thrive in this role, you need to be quick, accurate, and consistent—installing 90–110 pieces per week while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality. You're also someone who respects the client’s space, keeps things tidy, and understands the importance of being polite, professional, and approachable.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and install painted skirting boards to a high standard

Handle and transport materials carefully to avoid damage

Prepare walls and surfaces for installation

Use hand and power tools effectively for clean finishes

Work neatly and maintain a clean work area on site

Follow job briefs and communicate with the project team

Conduct quality checks to ensure workmanship meets company standards

Manage jobs from start to finish

Respect client homes and communicate clearly and courteously

Adhere to all safety protocols and site requirements

Skills & Requirements:

Experience in second fix carpentry, Joinery or skirting board installation

Confident working with mitres, scribes, and detailed trim work

Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

White Card, valid driver’s licence, and reliable transport

Own tools preferred (major equipment supplied)

Ability to meet weekly install targets without sacrificing quality

Professional communication and client-facing experience

Spray painting experience is a plus (but not required)
