Just Skirting began in 2019 in a humble backyard setup — with a crude table, a 2000 w router, a small dust extractor, and a basic spray gun — driven by a desire to deliver the best skirting board and installation service in Perth. Frustrated by poor quality and lack of service in the industry, we set out with a passion for precision and professionalism.

About the Role

As our Production & Finishing Technician, you’ll play a vital role in the finishing process of our skirting boards, Mouldings, and wall paneling. You’ll be responsible for sanding, priming, spray-painting, tinting colours, packing completed orders, and maintaining smooth workshop operations.

You’ll also assist with loading/unloading materials, preparing stock for production, and ensuring each product leaves our workshop ready to impress.

Key Responsibilities

· Sand, prime, re-sand, and paint skirting boards and Mouldings using spray equipment.

· Tint and colour-match finishes according to the Dulux Colour Library.

· Operate machinery such as panel saws, routers, and drop saws to prepare custom materials.

· Manage and maintain paint and consumables inventory.

· Pack and prepare orders for dispatch, including accessories (adhesives, fixings, and touch-up paints).

· Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

· Conduct basic maintenance on tools and equipment as needed.

About You

· Experience in workshop, production, or spray-painting environments.

· Competent with power tools and woodworking equipment.

· Strong eye for detail and commitment to a quality finish.

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team.

· Forklift licence (advantageous).

· Physically fit and able to safely handle materials and equipment.

· $75,000 – $85,000 + Super, depending on experience and skill level. (Salary is based on experience, quality of workmanship, and technical ability in spray painting, finishing, and workshop operations)
