The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our growing Brisbane-based team. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively—including with our refrigeration technicians—to deliver integrated solutions across industrial sites.

We provide additional training for candidates wanting to expand their skills and stay ahead in the industry.

Interstate relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a RefPro Mechanical Fitter, your role will involve:

Install, service, and maintain plate heat exchangers, hygienic valves, pumps, and homogenisers for food, beverage, and dairy industries.

Perform strip-downs, inspections, and rebuilds of process and refrigeration equipment.

Carry out diagnostics and preventative maintenance.

Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and industry standards.

Optional: Perform stainless steel TIG, MIG welding (training provided if required).

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter and Turner) or equivalent.

Experience with process equipment in food, beverage, or dairy sectors.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

A proactive, safety-first mindset and ability to work well in a team.

Desirable:

Knowledge of plate heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and homogenisers.

Familiarity with brands such as APV SPX, Tetra Pak, GEA or similar.

Welding skills (training available).
