100% Aged Care Presentations Visting RACF in the Central Coast Region

250p/h (VR) and $180p/h (non-VR)

We are a well-established medical group that provides primary care services to the Australian aged care sector.

With a national footprint we are actively expanding our operations and are seeking experienced VR and Non-General Practitioners (preferably with aged care experience) to join our team of medical practitioners to provide primary care services to our clients and their residents within Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs).

Our clients comprise of both public and private aged care operators, and we are seeking an experienced GP to join our Central Coast Team or either a full or part-time basis (min 3 days per week on an ongoing basis).

Full operational support is provided to the GP’s for all administrative and IT matters leaving you to focus is on clinical tasks and patient care.

Solely focused on providing primary care services to residents of RACFs, these services include:

Taking medical history

Undertaking clinical examination

Arranging any necessary investigations

Implementing a management plan

Providing appropriate preventive health care

Conduct regular reviews and follow ups with aged care residents.

Services may be provided via a mix of onsite and Telehealth.

Contribution to health assessments and medication management for new resident admissions.

Perform annual health assessment reviews for existing residents.

Review multidisciplinary care plans and participate in case conferences when needed.

To be considered for this position it is essential that:

You hold either General or Vocational Registration with AHPRA as Medical Practitioner and reside in Australia with Medicare claiming privileges.

An interest and background in Aged Care / Older person or Geriatric medicine is ideal

You will be visiting RACF in a defined geographic area, a valid driver's licence and you own vehicle is essential.

You hold Full and current work rights

Excellent communication skills are essential as is maintaining detailed patients' records

Some Allowances are paid in addition to the hourly rate (ie fuel allowance)
