About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dedicated team supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and functional behaviour analyses for clients with challenging behaviours

• Develop, implement and monitor individualised positive behaviour support plans in consultation with clients, families and support networks

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and support workers

• Provide training, coaching and ongoing support to families, carers and support staff on behaviour support strategies

• Engage with key stakeholders including NDIS planners, support coordinators and allied health professionals

• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare high-quality reports in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards

• Monitor client progress and adjust support plans based on data collection and outcomes measurement

• Ensure all practices align with the NDIS Code of Conduct and relevant legislation

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Disability Studies or related discipline (essential)

• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with complex behavioural needs, preferably in NDIS settings

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with complex behavioural needs is required

• Strong understanding of positive behaviour support principles, frameworks and evidence-based interventions

• Proven ability to conduct behaviour assessments and develop comprehensive support plans

• Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients, families and colleagues

• Empathy, patience and a genuine commitment to improving client outcomes

• Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain)

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to client locations (advantageous)

• Experience working in regional or rural settings highly regarded

• Australian citizenship is required for this position
