Position:

The position is a full time role starting immediately (November 2025). The role would suit a recent graduate with one or more years experience and (ideally) a background in Data Science, Statistics or Mathematics. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects in data analysis for the media industry, primarily focused on understanding audience behaviours and advertising on television, radio, online and publishing platforms.

Candidates must have current Australian work authorisation at the time of application.

We are looking for a motivated, intelligent individual eager to learn new skills and launch their career in this exciting industry. Salary will vary based on experience, but we expect the appropriate candidate will be offered a starting salary of $80,000 or more.

Skills and Experience Criteria

1) Critical - Communication skills and ability to work with business & technical stakeholders at all levels

2) Python based quantitative computing

Minimum one year of commercial Python experience is required for quantitative computing applications.

3) Comfortable working with (or willingness to learn) modern AI IDE patterns (Cursor, Devin,..)

4) Knowledge of basic SQL

Database construction

Index optimisation

Data extraction using SQL queries

5) Demonstrated ability in core components of ETL solutions

Exploratory data analysis

Feature selection/engineering

Dimension reduction (PCA/SVD very useful)

Data extraction/transformation

6) Operational experience in cloud based platforms (AWS preferred) is highly desirable

Familiarity with the AWS database & ETL tools (Athena, RDS/Postgres/Glue)

Experience with document databases like DynamoDB

Operational experience with orchestration tools such as ECS Tasks and Lambda functions

7) An interest in contemporary culture, particularly popular television, film, radio and online content
