Position: Qualified Fitter & Turner – Workshop & Field Service

Coastal Hydraulics & Engineering Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated business delivering high-quality mechanical servicing, repairs, and hose manufacturing solutions to a broad range of industries throughout Cairns and surrounding regions.

We are seeking a trade-qualified Fitter & Turner to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role involves both workshop-based and onsite work and offers an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and professional team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform repairs, maintenance, and component fabrication to a high standard

Conduct mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics across a variety of machinery

Follow job instructions, internal processes, and safe work procedures

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Deliver professional service when representing the business onsite

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner)

A current C class driver’s licence

Their own hand tools suitable for the role

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious work ethic

The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
