Electrical Fire Technician – Melbourne / Victoria

Guardian Safety Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Electrical Fire Technician to join our growing Victorian team, servicing clients across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and occasionally interstate.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining, testing, and installing fire protection systems across a range of commercial, educational, and industrial sites. What You’ll Be Doing

Perform routine maintenance, testing, and repairs on a variety of fire protection systems, including fire detection, emergency lighting, and portable fire equipment.

Carry out fire detection and alarm system installations and upgrades.

Respond to emergency callouts and troubleshoot faults efficiently to restore system functionality.

Maintain accurate service records and reports in accordance with company and client requirements.

Liaise directly with clients to provide updates, recommendations, and advice on fire safety compliance.

Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, Victorian Building Authority (VBA) regulations, and AS 1851 maintenance requirements.

Be available for occasional interstate travel to support our national service contracts and projects.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified electrician with a current A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria).

Experience in the fire protection industry with strong knowledge of detection systems, control panels, and emergency lighting.

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.

Strong time management and organisational abilities.

Professional communication skills and a commitment to high-quality customer service.

A safety-first mindset and proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Current driver’s licence and the ability to work independently across various sites in Melbourne, regional Victoria, and occasionally interstate.
