The Role:

As a key member of the Track and Facilities team reporting directly to the Track and Facilities Manager, the Track and Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the racecourse and the employees engaged at the Brighton Training Facility. The Track and Facilities Supervisor will possess a sound understanding of ground and track maintenance, workplace health and safety and the ability to keep records.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide supervision, guidance, feedback, and support to all staff, while actively engaging in and leading the performance management process

Plan and prioritise work, work schedules and teams

Maintain records and prepare reports as required

Implementation of racecourse management practices

Maintain the racetracks, landscaping and plant and equipment to race quality

Actively participate in daily check-ins with the Track and Facilities Manager, providing them with weekly task list reports and progression updates

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures

Provide direction and work plans on the maintenance for buildings associated with the track

Undertake estimates and ordering of supplies as needed

Experience and Skills:

Sound knowledge and understanding of work to be performed at a racecourse

Tractor and Machinery operation experience

Strong knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety

Previous experience in a similar role and/or within the racing industry

Demonstrable experience meeting deadlines and competing priorities

Current C class drivers license

Please note – weekend work is required.
