About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Carpenter to join our team. This is a full-time (typically on-site 7am-3:30pm, Mon - Fri) role involving a combination of installation work covering patient hoist systems and stair climbers along with home modification works targeted at the aged-care and disability sectors. Extensive training will be provided, particularly in the technical installation of patient hoist systems and stair climbers.
Most of the work is based within the Greater Sydney region however some travel involving longer drives and occasional overnight stays will be required. Semi-regular travel to Canberra is necessary, along with occasional projects in regional NSW. During periods of increased travel, we offer flexible work arrangements to help maintain a healthy work-life balance.
This role will appeal to an accurate tradesman, who enjoys the variability of new sites and highly customised installations.
Key Responsibilities
Install ceiling-mounted patient hoist systems and stair climbers. Ability to read & interpret technical installation manuals and operating procedures.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings. Complete accurate set-out and precision installation.
Ability to draft basic construction drawings for quotation and job planning.
Perform home modifications such as the construction of entry ramps, rails, and balustrades.
Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry with a current license.
Basic proficiency with computers and software (training and support provided).
Ability to work unsupervised.
Organised & dependable: Proven ability to consistently arrive at jobs on-time with the correct tools and materials.
Fit & healthy: Being a physical trade role a pre-employment medical health check is mandatory (arranged at our expense).
Commitment to safe work practices.
Preferred (Not Required)
Certificate IV in Building and Construction (not required but highly respected)
