The role

Gold Coast Boating Centre is seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Technician / Boat Fit-Up Specialist to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will see you playing a crucial part in the maintenance, repair and customisation of a wide range of recreational boats.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic issues on a variety of boat models and sizes

Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tune-ups and winterisation

Install and configure new marine electronics, accessories and customised features

Assist in the fit-up and rigging of new boats to customer specifications

Provide exceptional customer service, clearly communicating with clients about the work required

Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and parts used

Ensure the workshop is kept clean, tidy and well-organised at all times

What we're looking for

Several years' experience as a qualified Marine Technician or similar role

Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with the repair and maintenance of inboard and outboard engines, as well as marine electronics and accessories

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault-finding

Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

Enthusiasm for the boating industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Reliable, organised and able to work independently or as part of a team
