About the Opportunity
Note: We’re excited to offer two fantastic opportunities– one full-time ongoing position and one 12-month maternity leave cover position. Positions are available across both headspace Darwin and headspace Palmerston
As the Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and support to the Primary Mental Health Services team across headspace Darwin and Palmerston. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, developmentally appropriate care to young people and their families.
This role includes:
- Providing direct clinical care to young people with mild to moderate mental health concerns
- Supervising and coaching staff to build clinical capability.
- Supporting service delivery across the four headspace streams: mental health, physical/sexual health, AOD, and work/study.
- Contributing to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Approved tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, OT, Nursing) and registration with AHPRA or relevant body.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mental health, including youth-focused services.
- Postgraduate training in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, ACT).
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience.
- Prior experience or, at a minimum, demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities, staff, and Aboriginal Controlled Organisations.
