We are seeking a detail-oriented People & Culture Coordinator (6-month Maternity cover) to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting with the recruitment process, weekly payroll and regular management of HR Information Systems.

The successful candidate will:

End-to-end recruitment process: screening candidates, scheduling interviews, preparing contracts, and coordinating pre-employment checks

Facilitate the onboarding process for new associates, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience

Manage and maintain the HRIS and other associate records to assist with weekly payroll processing and compliance with legislation

Respond to associate queries related to HR policies, leave, benefits, and general HR support

Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team, including preparation of reports, letters, and other documentation as required

Contribute to ongoing People & Culture initiatives that enhance the associate experience and promote a positive workplace culture

Working Holiday and Student Visas welcome (must be able to work a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, in the office).

Opportunity to pick up shifts in other departments for the right candidate

Ideally you will have:

Certificate or Diploma in Human Resources or similar

Previous experience in a similar HR or People & Culture role, ideally in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

A positive, friendly and helpful attitude

Ability to work 3 days/week, under a Part-Time, 12-month Maternity contract
