Position: Permanent Part-Time OSHC Assistant / Relief Coordinator (3IC)
Location: Bangalow Public School OSHC
Hours: 20 hours per week
Days: Monday to Friday

Northern Rivers Children’s Services (NRCS) is growing — and we’re thrilled to expand our Bangalow Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program! We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, caring, and creative Assistant / Relief Coordinator to join our vibrant team.

🌈 What You’ll Do

As part of our OSHC team, you’ll help deliver a high-quality, inclusive program that children look forward to every day. You’ll:

Create fun, age-appropriate experiences that spark imagination and confidence.

Ensure every child’s safety, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.

Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.

Set up and pack away activities, keeping spaces tidy and welcoming.

Support coordination tasks and uphold NRCS and school policies.

Assist with record keeping and compliance in line with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the My Time Our Place framework.

⏰ Position Details

Before School Care: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

After School Care: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Vacation Care: Up to 8 hours per day (preferred but not essential)

Total Contracted Hours: 20 per week

Pay Rate: $27.68 – $31.66/hour (based on qualifications & experience)

Worker Retention Allowance: $2.77 – $3.17/hour

Broken Shift Allowance: $20.41/day

Flexibility: Occasional shifts at other NRCS services (Coordinator pay rates apply for responsible person duties).

💡 About You

You’re someone who brings energy, empathy, and initiative to every shift. You’ll have:

A current Working with Children Check.

A current Police Check (no more than 6 months old)

Experience working with or caring for children.

First Aid, CPR and Child Protection certifications.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments.

A good level of fitness to join in active play and outdoor fun!

Basic computer skills and attention to detail.

References from two relevant referees will be required.
