Base $60k Pro Rata (~$24-36k) + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission | OTE $60k-90k+
Misty Gully (part of Smoked and Cured Pty Ltd) is one of Australia's leading brands for BBQ, smoking, and cured meat products, with a presence in 450+ stores nationwide. Following our successful expansion in NSW & QLD, we're now looking for a dynamic part-time sales representative to strengthen and grow our market presence across our home base of Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional, parent returning to work, or anyone seeking a flexible yet rewarding sales role. Sales experience is preferred but not mandatory – we prioritize attitude, drive, dedication, and the ability to build genuine relationships with independent retailers.
A passion for food and cooking (ideally BBQing!) is a must.
JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for expanding opportunities for our business across the Melbourne and Victorian market. You will be marketing our range of BBQ brands and products (including our award-winning flavoured salts!) to independent retailers, specialty stores, butchers, and food service businesses.
In this role, you will be required to fulfil the following activities:
Field Sales (2 days/week): Visit existing and prospective customers across Melbourne and regional Victoria, building strong relationships with retailers and decision-makers
Territory Management: Maintain and grow our existing 50+ Victorian accounts while actively prospecting and securing new retail partners
Office/Admin (1 day/week): Work from our Campbellfield office (predominantly) or home (occasionally) managing CRM updates, call prospecting, reporting, and coordination with management
KPI Achievement: Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets (input & output metrics)
CRM Management: Ensure the sales pipeline is managed daily using our CRM system to promote a dynamic, organized, and outcome-focused sales strategy
Consultative Selling: Become an expert in our products and services to lead a consultative approach to sales, understanding how we can work with each independent business (training provided)
Relationship Building: Engage and communicate professionally with decision-makers, building effective long-term relationships through great interpersonal skills and responsive service
Self-Generation: Create opportunities through networking, prospecting, and client referrals
Professional Standards: Maintain and exceed the highest standards of professionalism and customer service at all times
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential:
Own reliable car and current Victorian driver's license (required for field sales)

Highly Desirable:
Sales experience (B2B, retail, food industry)
Existing relationships with Melbourne retailers
Knowledge of BBQ, cooking, or food products
Understanding of independent retail landscape
Computer Skills Required:
Communicating with customers via email
Data entry and maintaining accurate logs in CRM software
Working with Xero accounts software (basic)
Using our eCommerce site (WooCommerce)
Freight management systems for quotes
Microsoft Excel experience
